Volvo drivers love their key fob's handy remote that comes with features. They can lock and unlock their car as well as start the motor and even locate it with an app on their smartphone.

First, place the fob onto a clean surface with the logo side facing upward. Locate the button that releases it, place a coin between the cover and the fob and then pull it up with care.

To unlock the windows you need to press and hold the unlock button on your Volvo remote for four seconds. This will lower the windows as well as the sunroof, if you have one. After you've finished using the vehicle, you can close all windows by pressing the lock key for four seconds.

You can also activate the panic alarm inside your car with the key fob. This will emit a loud, attention-grabbing blare that will frighten off thieves and help you get home safely after a long night out. This feature is useful should you live in a dangerous location or you want to protect your family when you are away from home.
