War With Etharium
The War with Etharium, often overlooked as a simple stepping-stone towards the War with the Crownlands, began on the 11th of August. The incident which sparked the war, a raid on Neutral Etharium by the King of Oryza, Rice, was largely criticised by both the Madárès and Crownlands Governments. The incident involved a use of Admin Commands by Paradox to kill Rice in revenge for the raid and Paradox's lost items. This prompted a massive international incident, which culminated in the failed First International Agea Summit. At the conclusion of this summit, both sides, Madár and Oryza on one, the Crownlands and Etharium on the other, went to war.
Major Battles
The first major engagements of the conflict was a Madárès raid on Etharium, led by Maverich de Bastié. It is widely regarded as a failure, due to the lack of a kill on the defending soldiers. However, neither side took major casualties or lost many items or gear, so most call it closer to a draw. The second major engagement, and last, was a raid by Etharium and the Crownlands on the capital of Madár; Város. The raiders gained a small foothold in the town, but were quickly driven out by Alt and other Madárès fighters, which ended in a chase down the river of Primus, an Ambystoma played by PrimordialSoop.
Elevation to the Crownlands War
After the collapse of Etharium as a real, organised state due to the resignation of AstralRiver, Royaume Madárès and the Crownlands emerged as the two main belligerents in the war, and it was essentially made into a separate conflict from the initial squabble over which the war began. This was essentially confirmed when the first scheduled raids and battles began, and completely upturned Agea, into a state of a massive, all-involving war.
