The Imperium Sanctum Solaris, translated to "Holy Solar Empire" and often referred to as the "ISS," is a nation in the northern part of the Ashean continent of Agea. The nation was founded in late 2023 immediately after the end of the Hadron Civil War, as part of a peace deal between the three main belligerents. It was founded as a successor to the Phoenixian Empire, which had fallen in May of the same year. The initial goal of the nation was to unite all sun-worshippers under one banner and recapture the historical phoenixian capital, Aresol, which was considered a holy city in Solism.

Today, the nation is a feudal monarchy consisting of five member kingdoms: Aresol, Zeltbruck, Halcyon, Solhaven, and Hadron, the Imperial Seat of Power.

The nation has two capitals, a cultural capital in Aresol and an administrative capital in Calithia.

Culture & Politics

The Imperium Sanctum Solaris hosts frequent events, often focused around its religion of Solism. Some of these events include religious gatherings, tournaments, and RP Warfare.

Currently, there is an ongoing RP war in the city of Aresol between the local government and the Snowrats Gang, in which the two sides fight in planned and fair battles for control over various parts of the City.

The Imperium Sanctum Solaris is ruled by an absolute monarch (Either an Emperor or an Empress). Currently, the Empress is Valentia of Hadron, who rules from her seat of power in Calithia. Below her is the Grand Chancellor, the chief of the nations diplomacy. The current Grand Chancellor is King Endili de Aresol of the Kingdom of Aresol

Geography

The populated areas of the Imperium Sanctum Solaris are mostly built around a vast, narrow strip of plains in central Agea and surrounded by dense oak forests. It also owns the island of Thieves Haven, a dense jungle in the far east of the known world.

The mainland of the Imperium is bordered to the west by the Crystal Sea, across which the island nation of Nylenor can be found. To the east, the Imperium is defended by the dense forests and tall mountains of Mistwood, and is bordered by The Twilight Rise. To the South, the Imperium is bordered by yet another mountain range, across which the Nayan Empire and Xperia can be found.

To its north, the Imperium is bordered by Pyra Saccharum, a former province of the Empire which secceeded just days after the Empire's founding. Despite past tensions, the two nations are now rather friendly. It is also bordered by its historical rival of the Amaroqian Empire, and separated from them by yet another mountain range with the exception of a small pass within the Phoenixian City of Aresol. Though relations are cordial, the two sides nonetheless distrust each other.

Economy & Diplomacy

The Imperium has a strong economy, but its government is still poorer than the governments of Pyra Saccharum and Tokugawa, as its people focus more on events, roleplay, and building than grinding.

The nation is a member of the Agean International League, the worldwide UN-Type organization, and a member of the Agean Defensive Coalition, a defense and economy pact which also involves the United Northwest, Nylenor, and the Nayan Empire
